– Gastrotope aims to catalyze the ‘farm to fork’ ecosystem in India;

Vishakhapatnam, November17, 2017:
AP Innovation Society, Dept of ITE&C, GoAP has signed an MoU with Gastrotope which is a joint venture between Mistletoe Inc, Japan, GSF India and Inforbridge for setting up a Farm to Fork incubator which will be incubating and accelerating startups in the areas of Agri Tech/Food Tech/ Aqua Tech and promote the ecosystem in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Sri Nara Lokesh , Honorable Minister for ITE&C said this initiative would enable growth and innovation in this prime sector. Gastrotope would manage the whole project and AP Innovation Society will facilitate it to carry out the project. Sri Rajesh Sawhney of GSF India ,Ms Naho Shigeta of Infobridge and Dr. V. Valli Kumari from AP Innovation Society participated in the program. GSF India has been running a successful accelerator in Delhi and Gastrotope is also backed by Taizo Son, the Chief Executive of Japanese Startup Studio, Mistletoe, which would help in further promotion of the startup eco system in AP.
Gastrotope is the JV between Mistletoe, GSF India and Infobridge. Gastrotope support creators of food, the chefs and farmers, who value gastronomy and sustainable farming. Gastrotope mission is to accelerate food producers (that includes farmers, fishermen, and value adders) and chefs who are looking to leapfrog. We strongly believe that a sharing economy in “farm to fork” lifecycle will create great value for the ecosystem.
